A Minnesota man decided to make it snow on them carolers at the Mall of America on Saturday. Serge Vorobyov, 29, dropped $1,000 worth of dollar bills over a crowd watching a trio of singers performing in the mall’s rotunda. His first explanation for this seemingly random act of kindness was to spread holiday cheer. But the real motive was weirder and more selfish — he was trying to win back his estranged lady. And contrary to Vorobyov’s expectations, the Paul Blarts at the mall were feeling extra Scroogey and slapped him with a disorderly conduct citation.
