SO GOOD: 7-year-old with cancer scores a long TD at the Nebraska Spring Game. This is must-see stuff (more great vids here).
What do you get when you film two brothers and their father, all rooting for different teams, for an entire football season? A meltdown montage that makes any child at Chuck E. Cheese’s look mature beyond their years.
I think it will happen sooner than you think,” Ayanbadejo said. “We’re in talks with a handful of players who are considering it. There are up to four players being talked to right now and they’re trying to be organized so they can come out on the same day together. It would make a major splash and take the pressure off one guy. It would be a monumental day if a handful or a few guys come out.
This POWERFUL piece has been shared so many times, and there’s a reason for that. Chelsea, a Jane Doe for 10 years, came out as a survivor after hearing CNN’s coverage and seeing all the Steubenville rapist sympathizers out there. MAKE SOME TIME AND READ THIS.
You threw Jane Doe under the bus. You threw all of us under the bus.
I try to imagine you solemnly expressing these sympathies for two young murderers of a 16-year-old girl. Would you say how sad it is to see their lives ruined by imprisonment? Or would you use words like “heinous,” “disgusting” and “unthinkable” to describe their crimes? Alas, when a young boy rapes a girl, it’s a “misstep.” He’s still learning the boundaries. He doesn’t know what he’s doing is rape. I hate to be the one to break the news (ha!), but the boundaries are simple. Everything outside of a “yes” and/or enthusiastic consent is outside the boundaries. And anyone who violates those boundaries earns their “S.”
It’s nearly impossible to hit the post four times ON THE SAME SHOT without scoring. Egeas Plomariou would like to blow your mind.
Using sports as a means of expressing aggression is in most cases actually a healthy method to channel built up aggression or rage. In fact, sublimation, a defense mechanism in which individuals transform unacceptable urges into socially acceptable venues is deemed one of the more healthy and mature defenses. While sublimation was initially theorized by Freud (or Frood, to those from San Dimas) to relate to unacceptable sexual urges, it applies to unacceptable violent fantasies as well; instead of acting on one’s violent murderous rage, one can expel that energy as a linebacker.

Ouch. This might be the harshest Manti Te’o side-lulz yet.
